Original members Norman Kelsey and Dennis Satterfield began playing together across Southern California in 2000, shortly after the band's initial formation in 1999. They released their first album “Entertainment Now” in 2000, followed by “Recognize” in 2003. Bat Country was a fixture on the Los Angeles club scene up through 2004, when the group shifted gears. But a 25th anniversary revival of the band and its catalogue was in order. Norman and Dennis were joined by Tim Hofstetter in 2024 and David Henderson followed in 2025 to finalize the new lineup. The band's blend of the founding duo's power pop partnership and the new member's hard driving musical attack has made Bat Country a Gen-X rock and roll force to be reckoned with.
